16 March 2017The most important corrosive phenomena are those involving iron, the most widespread material in thermal systems, and also the main cause of impurities in the water since, for peculiarity, it is one of the most easily oxidized metals.
When placed in a moist environment and in contact with water it becomes Fe (OH) 2 ferrous hydroxide, unstable compound that is deposited in the anode zone and subsequently transformed into iron oxide, which occurs in systems in the form of black mud or color rust. In the case of Iron, corrosion is "autocatalytic" and continues to advance often with irreversible consequences.
The SM filter series has been designed to protect against such impurities by keeping the iron particles from oxidation caused by the circulation of the system with a high quality product but at a very low cost which improves the efficiency and functionality of the system by protecting its components.
Our SM-Strainers are entirely made of Aisi 304 stainless steel. They work with NH35 neodymium magnets with a minimum magnetic density of 10,000 gauss at 80 ° C and two stainless steel grids, one for breaking the iron particles so as to to facilitate the attraction to the magnets and the other to stop the larger debris. The finishing is made with a chemically crosslinked expanded polyolefin resin coated with 20mm closed cells and an anodised aluminum sheet, thickness 0.6.
The filter is easily positioned on the piping line of the system. Its maintenance is simple and fast and does not have any operating costs. . Our productive flexibility allows us to offer customized tailor-made filters, in special installation situations or where there are room for problems.
The STB Winter Filters are designed and marketed in accordance with Directive 97/23 / EC
